HOLLYWOOD, CALIF.- La alfombra roja ya está puesta en el teatro Dolby de Los Ángeles para la gala de los premios Oscar este domingo.

Una de las películas que parte como favorita para llevarse la noche es Birdman -con nueve nominaciones-, del cineasta mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu, quien está nominado también como mejor director.

Hay más mexicanos nominados como Emmanuel “El Chivo” Lubezki que podría llevarse su segundo Oscar consecutivo por mejor fotografía, en la película Birdman y Martín Hernández por su trabajo en el sonido de la cinta.

La cinta mexicana La Parka, del nicaragüense Gabriel Serra fue nominada en la categoría a Mejor Cortometraje Documental

Otra de las principales contendientes como mejor película es Boyhood “Momentos de una Vida”(nombre en América Latina) que tiene 6 nominaciones, pero tampoco hay que perder de vista a la cinta Gran Hotel Budapest, que con nueve nominaciones, al igual que Birdman, podría dar la sorpresa.
